i use to have the problem where i would drop my duaghter off at a home babysitter and then go to work and seems like i never had any money. I got paid once every 2 weeks. my babysitter charged a little over 100 a week and i made minimum wage whitch is 6.50 here so by the end of the week my money was gone and what i had left was put in the gas tank so me and my husband have come up with a way to not have to pay for a sitter. He works in the summer time since his job is seasonal and i work in the winter. does anyone else do this or think babysitters have gotten to expensive?

My husband and I work different shifts. I work Monday throughy Friday 8 am till 4 pm and he works Sunday through Friday 3pm till 11pm. That leaves us with 1 day a week together but it works out that our daughter only has to go to grandmas for about 2 hours a day. We are really lucky to have her here to help us out on that.
We receintly went and looked at a daycare to put our daughter in 2 days a week to socialize with kids her age and for 10 hours a week it was 98!! Thats 10 an hour but 400 a month for only 10 hours a week! Its not even worth it.
