Self massage. Have you tried it?

Not everyone can afford going to spa or get a professional to massage them regularly. I do my own massage, simple ones before I go to sleep. I learned this before I got married. All I need is massage lotion and I have some with different fragrances. Some rich body lotions also work, especially in winter I use them all day and massage lotion when I go to bed.
Have you ever tried massaging yourself? Do you have massage equipment like foot massager, back massager etc?

In my opinion the best massage is talking a hot bubble bath with bath beads. The heat relaxes the muscles and so does the fragrance of the bath beads. But in saying that, I also give myself massages in my neck and arms. I use creams like you do, and I expecially have to massage my neck area. I also have a gadget of two tennis balls in a sock and I put it on my back and neck area and rub my body between me and the wall. This is really easy to do and it sure helps the back and neck. My chiropractor told me of this trick.

I don't do my own massage. I have jacuzzi bath tub, it does the work for me.
It can make my sore legs feel better and make me feel new and refreshed.

I've given myself massages before. Every once in a while I get back pains and if there is nobody to massage it for me I have to do it myself. I get some lotion, lay on my stomach, and give myself a nice back rub. It would be better if sombody else could do it for me but oh well.

it is hard to massage your own back. but there is a small back massager that can do that, you just hold this massager and point it to certain areas on your back.

Not being double jointed or a contortionist I have not tried doing my whole body. I massage the bottom of my legs but I fell a few years ago and I have bruised bones, and I rub my shoulders and my arms and the inside of my knees when I am stiff, but that is the extent of massaging that I do.
I do put on body lotion after a bath, but that is because my younger son gave me some for either my birthday or Christmas and I have to get rid of it. Now I am so embarrassed that I might have to spill it down the toilet because of the connotation of massage (you know massage parlors.)

I see. have you tried ointment or balms? there are some ointment and balms with lavender or eucalyptus ingredients good for soothing pain. Over here they are available in grocery stores, around $ 15 or so, but since they are concentrated, they last longer than lotion

nope I've not tried this before, except when I'm really hurting and then I use my hands to squeeze my neck.
thanks for sharing this. I don't have equipment like foot or back massagers. I don't have massage chairs either. but my former office used to have a calf and foot massager. and we made sure everyone wore fresh socks before they used it.

massage chair I think it's costly unless they provide payment plan. I think rather than massage chair might as well as spa bath tub or something like that
