For Christmas, my boyfriend gave me a great gift. It contained a letter and some money. he plans on giving me money to put aside every week, for a vacation for Valentines Day. He is taking me to Hot Springs! We have been talking about going there for over a year, and this time its actually going to happen. I am very excited, and I wanted to share this with my Mylot friends, and ask. Do you have plans for Valentines day yet? Or is it too soon to tell?

That is a great gift. My hubby thinks that Valentines is just a holiday made up so florists and Hallmark make money. It took me 10 years to get him into the spirit of the day. Now if he remembers I get flowers or a plant and that is about all I can hope for. I hope you enjoy your trip.

Maybe your husband is correct, but why is it so bad to dedicate a day for couples to specifically express there love for each other. I wont complain about another holiday where my man gives me a gift to express his emotions. I hope you get a gorgeous bouquet of flowers this year!

That is so sweet, I hope you have a wonderful time. I am sorry to say I don't have a Valentine to celebrate with. Hopefully someday.

We have 2 kids and love being with them. We don't spend much time away from them so usually we do gifts and make a nice dinner at home. Don't take this the wrong way. If we had an option to have a sitter, we wouldn't take it. We have our romantic time scheduled around our responsiblities nicely. :)

I understand. We went out of town last weekend, and met a couple that took a few days away from home. I assume there kids were old enough to be left with a sitter over the weekend, but its nice to have alone time. Keeps the relationship healthy!

That was so very sweet and romantic of your boyfriend. It shows that he is already very excited about Valentines Day. He is showing that he is reliable and committed to you by arranging this in advance and putting money aside for a wonderful time for you together in Hot Spring. This is far more loving an idea than him just buying you a valentines Day card and giving you a box of chocolates. My best Valentines Day was a trip to Bruges in Belgium. It was so lovely to stay on a lovely old medieval looking square. It snowed and made the landscape look extra pretty. People were still cycling around. We had such a magical time there together in the snowy streets. I hope that your Valentines Day vacation will be magical and very enjoyable for you both. I have no idea what I will be doing on Valentines Day this year.
