Has anyone ever used one of those washer/dryer in one machines?

I have seen ads for a washer and dryer in one. You put your clothes in it and it washes then dries them. It is electric so you just plug it in, you don't need any of the washer dryer hookups. They are generally $600-700.
Has anyone ever used one of these? Do they work well? How are they on the electric bill?
