I'm a chocolate lover. Everytime I see chocolate I drool. i love eating chocolate but my father warned me to refrain from it for Diabetis is in our blood. He's afraid that I might acquire such. But I couldn't really help it. Everytime I go to my grandmother's town, am always requesting for a hot chocolate or chocolate porridge, for they have lots of cocoa beans. And just this past few weeks, every night I munch on chocolates. I can't detached myself to it. It seems that shutting myself away from chocolate is a suffrage.

Yeah chocolates are indeed addictive I am one. But its also true you should refrain from eating too much of it especially the sweet ones cause it may trigger in your diabetes like what your father have said. If you want you may try the dark chocolate variety since it has less sugar than the regular ones. The thing here is try regulating it don't eat too much of everything. By doing so you might prevent acquiring the disease yourself.

I'm thinking that too. However, dark chocolate is not available in my place. I still have to go to distant malls to acquire such. And mind you, it's quite expensive, huh.

That is true.... It is expensive and rather rare. Most that are available in here are milk chocolates which is rich in sugar already. If it happens to be dark sometimes they already put in sugar to make it sweet which is also bad for those that avoid sugar.

when my friend told me that if he won in a lottery he told what would he like to give me, I told him to give me two trucks full of chocolate. that's how I'm addicted to chocolate.

chocolate contains caffine. which is partly why it might be slightly addictive for you. Also chocolate contains a substance that releases pheremones that gives you a feeling of happiness. I think there are some chocolates made for diabetics or for those in danger of becoming diabetics. hope you find them.

See,many people mistake for chocolate as a high sugar rich food but actually unless the chocolate is a milk chocolate there is not much sugar added. So i thunk u should start eating dark chocolate in which there is almost no sugar. And dark chocolate helps prevent a lot of diseases.

I like chocolate too, but I try to control myself about it; if not, I would be every single moment eating chocolate. Anyway -at least in my case- my sort of addiction gets better when I do not eat chocolate for a couple of days. If I stay away from it, then its easier. Greetings!!

Chocolates are very much addictive. I also can't help myself from eating it before. I just stopped doing it when several ants would hunt urine after I pee. I was very afraid that time. I control myself now. I don't want to have a diabetes.

Hmm ya know they say that eating chocolates or other food. Sometimes means that its because of a memory thats old that your trying to get that feeling back again. Do you have a favorite memory of the first time that you had chocolate with one of your relatives? Have they passed on? Seems like a good idea tho have you heard what happens to people with diabetes? I'm sure you have seen it if its in the family right? Your dad's just scared! Heck I was told I was borderline diabetic and I cut back on sugar and salt. I still have times now where I have to get a drink or can't get quinched. Or, on some days I have to have something sweet cause I feel like I am dragging. BUt, I am fine once I do it!

I am not such a chocolate fan, so I don't have such a problem.Anyways, try milk chocolate [from those that have very much milk in them].It is much better than the pure one, and it doesn't have that much sugar in it.

You should try dark chocolate if your father is worried about you getting diabetes. It has less sugar and is more healthy for you than regular chocolate.
