talking customizing our profiles, do you?

I tried to but was not successful in doing it, no matter how hard I get to follow some tips and instructions from other member's post. I grew tired, so I didn't pursue changing it anymore By having a default avatar, I just put some little changes in it and put a little touch that describes me. I added a song, re-arranged them a bit but with no customized background. I don't owe nor was not affiliated to any other sites, so I don't have anything to put in it. Plus, my friends seems to be more considerate as they don't send me spams of anything about their affiliated sites.

I love to change my profile. I am used to myspace where you just go and copy a code and paste it anywhere... This is a little different and kinda difficult for me to figure out how to add music or even set my whole page as animated page.

It has been a long time since I have done anything with my profile here. Maybe I should consider doing something more with it when I have time, but for now I like how it looks. And I am unlike a lot of them who are afraid to have a picture of me as my Avatar. This is me who I am, and I feel it is best for people to know the real me.

I am always adding to my profile, I have now got music on it, which personalizes it even more, as it has the 80s on it which is my favourite music era. I have lots of banners on there promoting my lucrative little businesses and I have some nice photos! Both of me and some pictures that I have enjoyed looking at and wanted to share them with my friend. I am not too bothered about the colour scheme, as long as you can see the text. However I haven't gone too OTT like my Yuwie profile which was full of half naked people LOL! I think that would offend people here, so I try to tone down. It's the real 'wolfie' that only my closest friends know about.

I would really like to customise my profile but just dont have a clue at all how to do it. I have the default style now too and it is quite boring too look at. Hopefully one day in the future i will find out how to do it and then i can make it nice.

You are talking about our myLot profile? No no, won't be changing it. I am not even active here anymore lol.

Hi Joey, I have worked a lot on my profile the first time I joined Mylot but it has been years since I have done anything with it. I suppose I got bored of it and decided to leave it a lone.

I dont tend to be very creative. I like the way red and black look together. My profile is plain and unpersonal i think. lol. It's just got friends, comments and discussions. I admit i haven't taken much time to really make it look like anyhting. But i like the way it looks. After reading someone elses discussion when i first came back about profiles, i decided to try to change it, but when i went to change it i couldnt come up with something else. So i changed it back to the plain ol' red and black. lol. Does it always have to be overthe top CRAZY with different colours and pictures everywhere to get peoples attention ? I like profiles when they are easy to read and follow ;)

I have not customized my profile. I am basically lazy and besides I have no idea how to do it, other than added photos. I find it hard to read other profiles when they have a background in say purple, and the writing is just a shade darker, so I leave mine as it is. The only extras are the comments people have put on them. I do not like getting comments with referral links in them as I do not have time to join all these other programs.

I'm not sure Joey. I enjoyed playing with my profile when I came here first. I didn't want anything fancy, and I don't have anything special to announce so it wasn't as I had a lot to do. I don't like pages so full that they take a long time loading, and I am not too interested in adding music to my page that people might or not enjoy. All that makes for slow loading and for me is not really that important. I actually have no sound on my computer most of the times. I turn it on when there is something that I really want to hear :) I tried to use colors that I like and to make little changes in a way that it looked better to me but that was all. One are where I would like to make it "more" me would be in my pictures are, but I haven't really used it much. But other than that, I like it as it is. It has all the information it needs and nothing else which is fine with me :) I like simple. But I think each person has their own way of making their profile pages more personalized. What attracts me first in pages is that they're clean and not crowded. THe colors used, their combination and the fact that the person is careful to use the appropriate font color so it can be seen properly seems to be a simple concept but many people overlook it, making us have to highlight the text to be able to read it. The ones that are thoughtful enough not to make it too small have my gratitude and appreciation. I"m getting older and my eyesight is not what it used to be :) Videos and music are the things that I avoid the most. WHen I get into a page and have to wait for the videos to appear I usually tend to just close the tab and move on to another page. IF I want music I can look for it myself, and look for the specific music that I enjoy. And if i want to watch a video I go to youtube. I much prefer that the person leaves the info and a link:) LIke many other things, for me often less is best LOL NOw , on a personal level, I have seen some of your pages and I enjoy them - colour, clarity, clean, so I think that whatever you end up doing it will come out ok :)

Yes, I have customized my profile. Though I haven't touched it in months. It took me what seemed like forever to get my profile set the way I wanted it. MyLot wouldn't let me save it on the first try (or even the tenth), so with some patience and a lot of persistence I was finally able to save it. I'm glad I didn't give up, because I like having my profile look pretty and colorful, instead of dull and boring. :)

I have no idea how to customize my profile, so I just use the default and add links to the little boxes. I wrote a discussion once trying to get help, but didn't get mush response.
