Has anybody ever read the Bible in laymen's terms?

I am a true believer but I donot see the bible in a religious sense. As I read I start seeing things the way they are now. Case in point after reading revelations I started to see in modern times. Like the passage about the great jezebel that sitteth upon many waters with whom the kings of the earth commited fornication. Upon her forehead was a name written Mystery, Babylon the Great. I see that as Mother Africa. I think that all the worlds religions came from there and they also were tainted by each kingdom that was there.Even the illumanati was linked to there. Do anyone understand what I am saying?

I'm a believer as well, and I know that God gave us the Bible to read and accept as His Word. It's important to acknowledge its validity religiously. There are new versions out right now that speaks the Bible in our modern-day language. maybe you'd like it!
