There are some that would say, "I never want to be my mom"! But than there are those who want to be just like their mom. Which one are you?

In some ways I do want to be like my Mom and in other ways I don't. She's a very strong woman and has always fought to depend on herself...I want to be like that and am in some ways. She also tends to hoard and loves to gossip...I can live without those two traits LOL **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I am a blend of both parents, but am still who I am meant to be. As we grow and develope our own sense and forge our own lives, we pick & chose what characteristics and traits we will carry on and what we need to make our own. I have my parents stubborness and tenacity to get things done, but I am also artsy & crafty, which they were not. I am compassionate and firm, my child knows that I love her and I never got to hear that growing up.

Hi Happymommy3, Nope, luckily I am nothing like my mom. I'm opposite of her in every way, thankfully. It's a very good thing too.

I guess I fall more on the "I never want to be like my mom" side. I love my mom but there are things i dont love about her. She has a very low tolerance for change. If plans get changed or messed up she gets in a really bad mood. I tend to be like that a little, but I'm fighting that quality. I'm actually more like my dad in a lot of ways.

Offcourse i want to be like my mom.She was very sweet & careing. My parents were very sweet & they took care us very well & gave us lots of love. They gave us everything before we ask them, they were like friends with us so we were free to discuss every things with them without any fear, from them we learnt behaviour, what is right, how to respect & take respect,& confidence on what we do.... They never let us away from them.when i got married that was the 1st time i went away from them. That time was the very emotional it was very hard for us to separate.I came abroad. We had good bondings with each other.I also want to be like them with my kids.I dont have kids yet so i dont know how i will be with my kids.I think i cant reach till there but i will try to b like them.

I would say that even tough I did not want to be my mom as a child I see a lot of her in me. I know a lot of people that have said I will never be my parents but in the end their will always be a bit of them in you. Wether you want it or not.
