I started posting things last night and still have a few more to put up but we're n our way at least. It's so hard to not check our items every 5 minutes to see how many people have viewed them or if we have any bids or anything. I'm sure the "excitement" will wear off eventually.
But it got me thinking about the e-bay ads here. Wouldn't it be kind of neat if I saw one of my own ads! I mean obviously the things I listed are things of interest to me so it would match up with how the ads here are chosen. I know there's really a slim chance of it happening, it's just something I thought of.
I just wanted to share with you all that we got our e-bay selling adventure started and so now hopefully we can get the extra money to get our own place again or something. I'm excited and hopeful!

Well I'll be dang! That's great foxyfire. I know what you mean about not checking every five minutes. I think I checked mine even more often than that when I first started. Good luck to you and yours on this adventure.

I'm forcing myself not to look anymore because we're off to a slow start and it gets discouraging. I'm hoping things will pick up when it gets closer to the auctions ending.

Dont get discouraged foxy, January is always a slow month, ebayers always wait till the last minute to put in a bid, to make sure they get it at the starting price for a bargain. The best day to list items is on a Thursday and for ten days. That way you get in two weekends which is the time that most people will be looking. :-)

Hmmm...is that allowed? I'm trying to put our ebay widget on my profile but can't seem to figure out how.

Oh yeah you can do that, you are just posting a username not a l***. I am even afraid to use that word lol :-)

LOL...l*** is the newest 4-letter word! The user name we're using is rick33r33s. It's just a few car parts and my lights...which I have since discovered the pictures look horrible once they actually got posted. I have more car stuff to post today...but nothing all that great. Our really good car stuff is the next project...but if you have a need for 1979 Pontiac Grand Prix parts lol you should check it out...I'll be posting a "lovely" 70's green glove box today ;)

Oh good for you!! thats awesome! What type of things are you selling?
LOL ya its hard when you have listings to NOT look and see how many views you get etc every few minutes..I know I had a hell of a time curbing that when we first started selling stuff LOL

We don't have very much variety right now ...which could explain the slow start...but I put up my lights and he put up some car parts that he thinks should sell well.

Congrats! I've never sold anything on e-bay and wouldn't even know where to start. My sister has sold things on e-bay before. I wish you much success in this business venture, so that you may be able to get a much needed place of your own.

I'm really hoping it all works out. We're not off to a very good start but hopefully things will pick up once we have more variety.

Yes it is exciting when you start up and it does last for awhile but for it wore off when I started getting a lot that didn't sell and still getting the charges for them and a few postage problem, turned me off a bit but it can be good fun...

It's cool huh? I see on Ebay too, and it's fun to see that people are bidding on your things. It's disappointing though, that more often than not, things go unsold.
