They are more convenient aren't they? Less heavy, carry on the go, connecting on wireless internet while driving on the road or in a coffee shop. I use one myself - don't have time to carry around desktops or reach under the desk to plug in like 6 different peripherals and clog up the outlets on the wall.

yes you are right,it a convenient thing to have a laptop with you.you can go and bring all your files with you and have a conversation using your laptop anywhere you wanted unlike the destop computer where you only stay at only a single place.but the downside in having a laptop is that its more expensive to upgrade it than the desktop computer but still laptop is more convenient.

I have a laptop, i use it for work. it sucks coz its an old model. I plan on buying one for personal use (i'm still saving up my money though). There's this laptop that i saw on a computer store.. just the type i'm looking for -- small and fashionable.

I love my laptop because I can take it anywhere and use it...very light and durable so far and I am on the road sometimes and need to check emails and other stuff and having it the computer with me is a lot easier...

I am also a laptop user and love the portability of it. And the small amount of space it takes at home too

I do have a laptop but its kind of old already. I'm just using it at home, IBM T22. I'm planning to buy a Dell Inspiron laptop if i have the money to spare.

I am using a laptop too. I carry one with me all the time and since it is equipped with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled, I can get on the net almost form everywhere and the thing about the new generation laptops is that they are much lighter and therefore much easier to carry around.

I got my laptop a couple of months ago. I packed away my desktop computer as I am getting on so well using my laptop. I really like the way I can use it anywhere in my house. I like to sit on my sofa with my laptop. That is so much more comfortable than it used to be me sitting up at a desk. I have a backpack to carry my laptop about in. I agree that laptops are very convenient. I am so pleased that I have got a laptop now.

I have two laptops and one desktop at my home. One laptop is for my husband. And I own the rest laptop and the desktop. Now I prefer to use the laptop because it runs faster.

My husband is the laptop user in our family. He even sets it up in the kitchen. I like the desktop. But I have also sat on the couch with the laptop. My husband carries his in a briefcase type bag almost anywhere he goes.

Ya I myself am planning on getting one. I want to get a sony vio with the extreme operating system on it so I can do business on it to. LIke 30 more but its a package comes with laptop luggage and mouse and pad. Cool deal for $700 and I can upgrade memory if I want to. I want to use it mostly when I am not at home tho. When I am at home I plan on using the home pc. Was also thinking of getting a wireless plug in card. Either that or a built in one.

Major laptop user here, Mainly for college, Just handy because i can take the laptop into college, do some work, and continue the same work at home, and in work i use it a lot on the wireless net, I'd say i use my laptop about 5-8 hours a day!

Laptop user myself but my main computers (at home and work) are still desktops. I'm thinking of getting the Asus EEE because of its size (can you say under 2 pounds?) and its price (starting at $200) Specs are 7" and 10" screens It uses SDHC (High capacity SD cards) No hard drive Webcam wifi And it can run on XP.

I have to say that you are right, but there is a slight problem - they are much dearer than desktops. Especially, when you live in a country where IT equipment is 3 times as expensive as in US.
