Public/Private schools can't do anything but to raise their tuition fees. Some School use it for school fund.. But some others put it to their pocket and use it for personal use. So its up to you to decide what education really is. Is it in the service form? Or is it in the business form?

it is both. a school is there for service. it provides formal learning to kids and adults. it transfers cultural norms to generations. however, it can not do service without maintaining its teachers, facilities, and materials. that's why it asks for fees for these services and facilities. i think it is not the fault of the school if some personnel use the resources for personal use. we have laws and institutions to stop these people from doing those things.

you are right mensab. the school needs to maintain their teachers by giving good salary and other benefits, need to improve their facilities and so on. especially schools that are not subsidized by the government needs to increase tuition fee to sustain its operation. it is sad to know that education are getting more expensive as time goes by.

Education supposed to be a service but unfortunately in our system weather we like it or not it becomes a business! If you want a quality education you need to pay a lot.

Honestly, education is always business. Look at AMA Computer College, they've opened up Nursing degree though they specialised/exclusively school for Computers. And most newly schools were emerged due to the high demand of nurse profession in abroad.

I've been in both types of school...As far as private schools are concerned,I believe that some, but not all,are doing their best to give quality education to the youth. But,we don't really know what happens beyond that...Their financial activities are walled inside the accounting and cashier's office. As for public schools, business is very obvious.I can say this because in my public school experience,I have seen how maltreated public schools are.Knowing that the government is providing funds for them, why in the world is there a lack of armchairs, books and buildings? The teachers always complain about low and late salaries. Now,where does the government fund go?Now,that's political magic!
