Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland have a football team each.should they combine?

It works with the Rugby, so why not the footabll?

No it doesn't because they don't. They are seperate countries.

first these two countries need to find a political solution to there problem ,then only they can merge the two fedrations togather in to one team

I don't see any benefits of combining it nor leaving it the way it is. It is up to the countries' football federation to decide. Why do you think they should combine?

I believe there should only be one Ireland. When that will happen, a single football team would be a reasonable thing to make. In the actual political form, I don't see a reason to merge the two teams.

no, they shouldnt combine as it will give less oppurtunities to everyone. there would be a row who should bbe coach...keeping them one it will b gud team but youngster wouldnt be given much chance.

They can't combine, that's like saying that France and Britain should combine. The reason is that they are seperate countries and why would they want to anyway.
