Why do people especially older ones, really likes to play "online games"?

I think for some it's to kill their time, when they're bored or have nothing to do. There's no objective answer to this. I think also that some gets addicted playing to online games because in those games you would have a goal, like getting to reach this level, defeating this and that...

Yeah and even younger ones, theyre becoming addicted in playing online games, they even cutting classes just to spend their time n playing online games.
