Why do women feel that they do not need a man to help raise their kids?

I am a single parent. My son is 14 and my daughter is 11. I have been raising them on my own from day one. I feel that it would be nice to have their father around, but he has never stepped up to be a father. I have been both mom and dad and have to say that I have been doing a great job. At this point in the game, I do not need a man to help raise my kids. Although it would be nice to have a positive male role model for my kids. At the end of the day, women always end up with the short end of the stick - raising te kids alone.

because most women know that the main thing a child needs is love. as a mom your maternal instinct kicks in and u have plenty of that. at one point i was a single parent. my brother, my step dad, and a couple of my friends stepped in to bring positive man influence to my children. they do need that also. but as a mom that is the only thing u cant personally do but u can make sure that they do get it.

Men are not usually present most of times and they give much more of an orientation not a day-to-day care. A father sometimes help to put order or just play with the kids, relieving the mother busy schedule.
