Medicated Abortions

Ok, so I know this is a touchy subject, but I am curious if anyone has ever heard of medicated abortions as an alternative to the surgical abortions. With medicated abortions, pills are administered a few days apart and only before 7 weeks (I think).

No i have never heard of this, the only thing i've heard of that comes close is the morning after pill, and you only take that for a day i believe. So i dont think that is what you are tlaking about.

Nope..definitely not the morning after pill. This is actually when you already know you're pregnant. And thank you for letting me know that this was started under bbq roast beef...umm..I did start it under general discussion, so I apologize now for anyone taking offense to this. It wasn't my choice at all.

I hadn't until now. I don't really want to say anything because I know they're will be two trolls watching over these type of discussions and they bring nothing but sickness to these discussions. Kudos, ~Joey

Yes, it's the more effective technique for a really early termination.

yes there is an abortion pill available- you take the first to detached the sac from the womb and the second a couple of days later to induce a miscarriage- and they are now starting the plight to get it made available from your GP. however, from the things i have read about this, it is an horrific thing to go through, i cantimagine the trauma some woman may go through from seeing their miscarried baby with the starting of limbs and features develpoing, all i can say is i hope there are some good counsellors available!

My understanding of the medicine induced terminations is that they can be much more uncomfortable. It requires at least two trips to the clinic or doctor administering it. In some situations, like if a woman is likely to encounter hostile protesters, it can be a logical choice. In general however a surgical termination is quicker & less painful/uncomfortable.
