I agree with the wcschools and php.net suggestions. Two more to add that might be helpful for a beginner. 1) http://www.phphelps.com/ This explains very basic things such as how to use an if statement. The English isn't the best, but the code examples are good. 2) http://www.tizag.com/phpT/ It's a step by step tutorial to help get you up and running.

I think the Offical PHP Manual from php.net is ok, with it you will learn PHP very quickly.

Check out phpbuddy.com It has some great tutorials! PHP isn't easy, so good luck! P.S. If you're learning PHP you might as well also learn MySQL, without that you won't be able to use PHP to its best.

That website you mention is actually a good one from w3schools - of course you realize PHP Scripting is complex and I'm sure you're starting to learn it yourself. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate or advance - I would suggest you get from the start where to begin - and here are some sites you do want to check that relates to your PHP Scripting topic: http://www.thesitewizard.com/archive/feedbackphp.shtml http://www.freewebmasterhelp.com/tutorials/php Here are some books that I do recommend: Beginning PHP and MYSQL 5: From Novice to Professional, Second Edition
