Barry Manilow Do you love him or hate him?

I grew up listening to Barry Manilow so i guess he's in my blood, i am now 40 and have been a huge fan of his since i was 16. I went to see him in concert on my 18th Birthday and yes i cried... My daughter grew up listening to him and wonders why, when a Barry Manilow song comes on the radio, that she knows every word. She jokes and says that i've scarred her for life.. lol I love his voice, his accent, and the words to his songs are so deep and poigniant. I always thought to myself geez he must have had some rough relationships to be able to write such lyrics. Most people i talk to either love him or hate him, there's no in between. So tell me what you think and why. Have you seen him live? Do you follow him around the country?

I didn't like Barry Manilow but when I saw his recent albums (the one with all love songs) I like him already! Haven't seen him live but I can say that he really is one of the icons in the music industry

He definately is, what makes me laugh is the comments men give about him, and his nose ect. Bet they wish they had that many screaming women hankering after them lol...

I like Barry. His songs are memorable and easy to sing along with. Too much of Barry in a short time could be a problem with all of that lovey dovey going on but he is a living legend in a lot of ways and almost everybody knows his songs.

I loved Barry Manilow when I was a kid and my mom would listen to him. I especially loved Mandy (that's my middle name). I've never seen him in concert but I'm sure he puts on a good show.

I'm not much of a fan of Barry's but his songs are really nice. I do know of a friend who is as fanatic as you are. She has a lot of video collection of his concerts and watches them every now and then. She does cry too when watching his concerts. She feels as if he was singing those songs for her. LOL. I can't relate so much I guess I just wasn't exposed much to his songs while growing up.
