Maybe its over used this topic, but I really DONT know whats with that, I saw somebody that it was dissapointed that somebody gaved him some bad ranks or something like that. Could somebody explain to me whats with that? And for the topic if the stars don't actualy change anything my question to you is: Do you care what people think about your posts and the "ranks" that they gave you that changes this stars?? PS: is my star bad or good? hehe :D

I'll admit that the ratings don't mean much to me. If I used them the way I believe they were intended I would go throught the convos with no responses and rate most negatively. I very rarely rate anything negative, I just don't bother and only rate the convos I've responded to or started. I'll also admit I don't give the 10s as many positive ratings as I do other people because I don't feel they need it.

Ten is "best" but I suppose it depends on your point of view. To me 10 means "I will never make a posting anyone disagrees with" so I really don'y strive for 10, I'd rather keep things interesting. If the ratings work the way they say, then people won't be able to drop your rating anymore just to be spiteful which is what I believe happened to me. If they go through all your discussions rating them negatively, it's suppose to reflect poorly on the attacker. I hope it actually works that way, we'll see. I know I'm probably far too liberal with positive ratings. My impression of the system is that it's meant to reflect how useful a thread and it's comments are, do they contribute to the quality of mylot.
