i really like Sarkozy not only because of his style of politics.i like the way he is taking the presidency so cool.hanging aroung with his celebrity wife to be and getting the headlines, not for any new economic policy but for having a romantic life.is he really worth a president.

Sarkozy made a lot of promises when he was elected - but to date has not made a start on any of it. Instead he's been romancing his lady, providing much amusement for the rest of europe, but irritating the French who feel he should concentrate on governing. I don't think the French would mind how active his love life was, as long as he did some work (they famously didn't care last year when Sarkozy got divorced, and didn't care that Chjirac and Mitterand had mistresses). But they really mind that he's been goofing off and not working. His approval rating has fallen by 20 points since he was elected.

It might start the terrible craze of celebrity obsession in France, which would be terrible. The French laugh at us Brits and Americans because our newpapers are filled with useless stories about the personal lives of even more usless celebrities. But thwey have become very interested in their President and his celebrity wife to be's personal life. If I had the choice I would rather our media was not obsessed with celebrities, they really are not worth the paper wasted writing about them.

sarkozy is able to enjoy both worlds; politics and entertainment. however, he has grand plans for france. he wanted to institute changes with which he thinks france needs those changes. some people like him, some don't. but he came to power at the right time to serve france. i think he is the right guy for france. i don't know about if he is the right guy for his wife-to be.

I agree with you, I am a Sarkozy Fan, its only a shame that h wasn't elected 1 years ago, instead of Chirac. Chirac offered much, but buckled under the pressure of he unions, o France has stood still for the last 10 Years and it will take a while for it to recover. I just hope that Sarkozy has the stamina to take on the Unions and really modernise France into a true Capitalistic model, with lower taxes and better backup for small businesses.
