I recall when I first moved to Minnesota from Michigan in 1975. My younger brother lived here & that was one reason I moved here. Anyhow I was young as was my wife. Not much cash and none saved in a bank what so ever so things were tight. Now my brother & I lived in the same apartment building in different units with our girlfriends. He was involved in shall I say some typwe of illegal activity. He was always stashing and hiding cash for the so called "rainy day". Well he moved after awhile and he lost $1,000 in all hundred dollar bills. I helped him search the apartment & no luck. Now about 2 years later he had moved & we wanted the larger apartment so we talked with the manager & got to move in to itafter a years time. I hated the color of the carpet and asked about me paying to replace it. Got permission and did that. As I ripped the old carpet up I found his 10 100 dollar bills. I never did tell him as he had forgotten all about it by this time and figured he had spent them. Kind of mean but it was illegaly accquired cash in the first place. have you ever found a nice landfall of cash of any type? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

No, I haven't found anything like that but I'm always looking. Some time back someone found a brown paper bag with several thousand dollar in it and ever since hearing that story any time I see a paper bag along the road I want to stop and check it out thinking that just may be the bag with my treasure in it. I did find a 10 dollar bill in a book one time - I had put it there about 10 years before.

I have found wallets that were damaged from being outside so long along side the roads with cash before. Not a lot but enough to keep and not look for the opwners. Mainly because the wallets were so far gone from the weather. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Can't say that I have found a landfall of cash. The only thing that I find from time to time is maybe a $5 that I found in the washer or maybe a $20 in a winter coat that I had left in it from the winter before. Other than little things like that, nope can't say that I have. I've enjoyed reading your life stories today!

I got a recliner many moons ago from the local Goodwill store. At home I removed the cushion to was the thing and found a 20 dollar bill that was a silver certificate. I spent it. If I had known then what I know now I'd still have that valuable bill. Thanks also I enjoy sharing these things here with friends and others as well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Last year my bread baking machine broke down. So I went to the department store to buy a new one. I found a ten euro bill in the parking lot as soon as I got out of my car. No owner of the bill in sight. So I put it in my pocket. In the department store there was a bread baking machine for just 5 euro, a fraction of the price a toy like that usually costs. So I bought it. Basically I had the bread maker and the gasoline to go to that store for free. I was very happy and I am still happy with my bread making machine. No, I never found things bigger than that. Happy mylotting!

what a confession, grandpa Bob! Well, he obviously forgot that he had hidden the $100 bills so well. I wouldn't have thought of cutting up the carpet and hiding bills inside myself! that's a great story to recount though. I haven't experienced a similar windfall, but I definitely have forgotten where i hid things. things that are precious are kept so well that even the person who hid it can't find it after a year or so! and then it's especially frustrating because the thing is quite important (like a nice piece of jewellery) and you know it's there but WHERE?!
