Yesterday my electric went out twice. So I had to restart my computer both times. The second time I noticed I couldnt type anything and the light didnt come on when I hit the caps lock. So I thought my keyboard died. My computer and mouse were fine. So I left it alone all day. I was planning on buying a new keyboard. Then by some miracle last night I restarted it again and the light came on. I was so relieved and happy. I really didnt feel like buying a new keyboard. Did you ever think your keyboard had stopped working?

Well, we on on our fourth keyboard in four years.
The first one was a wireless keyboard and mouse, which I really didn't like anyways.
Then the other 2 keyboards fried from spilled drinks. But the upside to having a husband that collects thing, we had extras each time this happened, so we didn't have to buy any..
Unfortunately, if this one fries, that's it, we will have to buy another...

I knew my keyboard stopped working the day I spilled a bottle of regular Pepsi. Had it sitting next to the house, on a coaster. Went to pick it up and knocked it over right into the keyboard. It was sticky but decided to let it dry out. That failed miserably as the keyboard did nothing after the drying out period. Had to buy a new one but this time I bought a waterproof keyboard and I don't keep soda next to the mouse or the keyboard itself.
The last few weeks my computer turns off when it feels like it. Think it might have something to do with the fan not cooling like it should. But then again it works for a week and is fine. Yesterday it turned off twice. So I seem to have computer issues and this one is not old.

I've had 2 printers that did that to me on occasion. They would be working fine then suddenly stop working. What I had found out was to unplug them for a day or 2 then plug them back in and turn em back on. They would work just fine again, like nothing happened. Weird how electronics behave at times.

Oh, I hate when anything happens to my computer or the components!
When it comes to that stuff I'm totally ignorant. I am not computer savvy and don't even know what plugs into what, haha.
Hope that never happens to me Terry as I'd have to start playing with all the wiring and that freaks me out, haha.

Quite often, I joke around about 'my defective keyboard' & then see who gets it.

One time our power went out a few times and I ended up having to get some boot disc from HP cause the stupid computer wouldn't load my OS. It took a few days to get the disk but i finally fixed it. Really annoying. I had a Gateway computer not too long ago, not even 2 years old and my daughter fried the motherboard by going up and pressing the power button on the stack (it would flash blue when in standby, i think that was the attraction to her)

Hello dear TerryZ. Usually when the computer has some problems like that, it will be recovered when it is restarted. I get to know this from my own experience. But I am happy that the kepboard of my laptop has not had any problem yet and I hope that it will never happen. lol. Thanks.
