Opportunity ALERT!

Very recently the stock market as measured by the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) has been significantly going DOWN. Now, there is an indication of a "Bottom forming" in the stock market. On the attached chart there is a purple ellipse. Within that ellipse are vertical splotches of red, purple forward slashes, and a group of +'s that have terminated. These things appear at points in time where stocks temporarily are about to change direction from DOWN to UP. Notice how the blue price line of the DJIA goes sideways in a jagged pattern then moves UP just past the ellipse? This frequently happens under such circumstances. There is no way to tell exactly when the 'bottom' will be or how long the direction will stay changed to UP. What the chart tells us is that opportunity is knocking. We should pay attention. Here is a list of SP-500 that have going DOWN substantially recently. A few of these stocks will go UP off the upcoming 'bottom'. The rest may continue going DOWN. IR KLAC DRI DELL NSM SNA SVU ROK MDP ADP ITW DOW LTD HAS CSC XRX GPC NWL FO ADI DOV GWW AXP CTL TIF Investigate the above list of stocks if you try to buy stocks as they turn around and bounce of their 'bottoms'. Here is a list of SP-500 stocks that have been going UP recently. More information concerning this kind of chart and analysis can be had at my web page found at my profile. So, what do you think? Is this kind of analysis too complex? What do you think is up with the market?

I don't think that your analysis is too complex. I do think that somehow the stock market is being manipulated by outside forces. All the right people will make the right choices on your list and a few will also get lucky like you hopefully. But the majority will lose. I don't have any money, but that does not stop me from watching just as you do.

Exactly in what way 'forces' other than straight 'market forces' are operating in the stock market is unknown, but widely assumed to be true. It's one of those things that seems to be true, even though there is no way to prove it. Studying, watching, and even occaisionally investing a little, is indeed quite a bit of fun.

In the orginal posting I forgot to add that the most recent data on the right of the graph is similar to what is going on in the ellipse. Therefore, the market is likely to go UP soon off the 'bottom' being formed.
