HELP!!!!! I have electric heat in my home,and my hydro bill is through the roof

So, i just recieved my latest hydro bill, I almost fainted when i saw how much I owed. i live in Ontario, Canada and it's been pretty cold this whole winter and unfortunatly we have electric heat. I try to keep my heat as low as I can without us freezing, but it's still so pricey. We have electric baseboard heat, so when I wake in the morning, I run around and turn off all the ones we aren't using, hopeing that will save money, as well as hydro. If anyone can give me some good advice on what to do to lower my hydro bill, i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance
