How very odd, that you would be in a relationship with some one you are killing time with, until things work out better for you. I personally would sooner be on my own than waste my time as well as his in a relationship that is never going to go any where. I can not think of one reason to do what you are doing so I have to ask why?

I'm not with him now. I'm visiting home for a few months but we are still together. Neither of us wants to get married. I know I don't. He's fine with being with me and I'm fine being with him. We get along fine and we live together. So both of us are just going with the flow, whatever happens happens. Not all relationships head towards marriage. So you call it spending time, that's fine. I don't feel like I'm wasting my time because it doesn't matter I'm still living the life I want to live.

It depends what you mean by the "love of your life". Do you believe you only get one then? There was one person whom I loved more than anything in the world and it nearly killed me when things went wrong. I still think about her a lot and how it all seems unresolved. I wouldn't give up my current partner for the world though, even though I still love the person in my past. I love him now and he's everything I want.
It sounds like the relationship you're in now is really unfulfilling. Have you thought about ending it and moving on?

The love of my life is the only one I ever loved. Even if I ended the relationship no matter what I'd still be in love with my first love. I don't think I'll ever get over that. Everyone else will just be second, third, fourth best compared to the one I love.

well I would like to think that I am with the love of my life now. For he is the best thing that has ever happened to me! :D ..hope everything works out for you.
