When Bored....

I always bring a book and some small snacks cause I find that when i'm bored, i get tired. When i'm bored, I get on mylot and talk alot lol. I find that keeping busy keeps me awake. So that I can have a full day and not feel like I let it slip by.

When I was working in an office and I got bored I would play solitaire on the computer. But that didn't happen too often because there was almost always something to do. Now if you had a computer at work you could log into mylot and do some posting. hehe I don't work anymore so I have pretty much the whole day to be on the internet. When i get bored in mylot, which will be very shortly as I have been here for a couple hours already, I go to my other email address and start reading emails for money. When I get bored with that I leave the computer and do something offline. Then I start all over again.

when bored, i surf the internet, listen to music, watch television, and play videogames. i can stay infront of my computer for 5 or more hours straight staring at the screen of my computer. i can listen to music when i am trying to get some sleep. actually, i turn of the music when the point of going to sleep because i don't want to be distubed when i am sleeping. i love to sleep. if there's one thing i that i love to do, it's sleeping. when i'm bored, i tend to find something to eat.

When i used to work, (now i'm a stay at home mom and babysitter) I worked mostly in food stores, pizza shops and places like that. So in those type of places there is ALWAYS something to clean. I used to go into the back and clean out the big walk in fridge in the summer time a lot, cause they didnt have AC. lol. Just all around cleaning, since i was usually the only woman that worked in any of those shops i was the one that did most of the daily cleaning and tidying. Which i hope they have replaced me with another gal, cause those places would have been nasty without me, and i dont think i'd eat there now that i dont work there *Giggles*

Well at my work, where I prepare tax returns, when it is slow, we have a practice returns book that we use to practice on imaginary returns! Our computers are set up to where we can do tax returns in real mode or practice mode either one! That helps make the time go fast!

Well,it happens alot at home when everything is done around the house and i don't know what to do(bored)so i go down stairs,read one of my craft books and get an idea of something to make,like a raggedy ann doll(again,hahaha!).I love doing primitive crafts and find i do this when im bored to pass the time,which it does and i also read alot of magazines like better home and garden and home renovation magazines.My boyfriend does not like this,since it gives me ideas alot,hahaha!! I have a nice big bumper suduko book to do when I'm bored! It keeps my brain active and I enjoy doing the puzzles, if I don't have my puzzle book at hand, then I'll read a book or if worse comes to the worst I will start deleting my really old text messages that I have still on my phone from early last year!

I do some writing, I vacuum the floor, or go for a walk. There is always something to do so I do not get bored. I will pick up a book sometimes. It all depends on what I was doing when I started to feel bored. If I cannot move from what I am doing, like sitting waiting for something, I started moving my legs and then I notice the people around me - pick up a magazine, do stuff like that.

I work with developmentally disabled adults, so boredom can simply me that there are no bad behaviors. When it is quiet we try to encourage the guys to do some activities such as building or looking at books or practicing sign language, other times we do laundry or clean. If it is in the evening, and some of the guys are in bed and there are enough staff I will go on the treadmill, or we watch TV with the other guys.

to kill time, I usually have a book with me. People watching after some reading is also quite threaputic.
