Coping with Restless Legs Syndrome

I have RLS even during the daytime. If you have RLS, you don't need a doctor's diagnosis. You know beyond a shadow of a doubt. You're the one standing up in the back of a movie theatre because of your twitching legs that are compelled to move involuntarily.
Try this: Put a bar if Ivory soap under the bottom sheet of your bed. You don't have to lie on top of the soap. Just have it there. It's especially helpful for night time relief, but works during the day, too...if you just take a little nap in your bed with Ivory soap under the sheet.
Sounds really hokey, eh? In this case, even though it sounds hokey, it WORKS.
Among the many members at mylot, I'm sure I'm not the only one with RLS, so I'm passing it on. May your legs be at peace :)

Calcium, magnesium and potassium can help your restless legs. Don't bother with re-quip or any other of those crazy prescription meds. Always seek a natural cure for whatever ails you. No sense in introducing strange chemicals into your system.

Thanks for your response, kat. I've used the calcium/magnesium and potassium. It helped a little.
I still take them all for general health (osteoarthritis) and because I take water pills, thus the potassium.
My system is so full of strange chemicals now -- and I know natural is healthier -- it's just been my experience that I don't get the quick relief needed from natural remedies.
The thing that still amazes me is the Ivory soap under my bed sheet. I don't have to ingest it, just sleep on top of it. However, I'm not going to spend that much time in bed!
