How do you and your sister differ?

While sisters may have a lot in common they can also be vastly different. For example my sister is a beauty queen. She spends hours getting ready to go anywhere and always has to paint a face on and ensure her hair is in place. While I make sure I am always presented nicely, I by now means go to the trouble she does, in fact I would even know where to start. Another difference is worrying, she is a worry wort over everything where as I have a more laid back relaxed attitude towards life. Mind you I wouldn't change anything about her or me and we have a very special bond. At times we can even finish sentences for each other. How do you and your sister differ?

I exist and she doesn't! Sorry, I couldn't resist. I don't have a sister but always wished I did. I have an older brother who made my life miserable until I was thirteen and he got married and left home. I always thought a sister would be a friend that I could count on. Sounds like you and your sister have that. A blessing, indeed.

i have three younger sisters and we all have a nickname for each other. i'm considered the "cool" sister because i'm very understanding. ever since we were teens, i'd let them go out as long as they came home on time to finish their homeworks. they'd have to keep up their grades and the better their grades in everything, the easier i was on them. then we have the "bi*chy sister" and don't worry, she agrees to it too. i don't like yelling at my sisters and her, being the second oldest does it all for me. :) she makes sure that my other two sisters are kept in place and doing what's right. i on the other hand will also talk to them while the second oldest does all the yelling. next we have the "pretty sister". she's such a perfectionist and the most beautiful of the sisters. she's also a great cook so i tend to call her my chef because she used to cook for me when i didn't know how. :) last but not least!! we have the "baby sister". she's not just considered this because she's the youngest, but because she's also a cry baby. :) don't get me wrong! we love her a lot and would do anything for the baby of our family.. but she does cry a lot even now!

My sister is loud. Naturally loud. We both have anxiety, but hers differs from mine. She worries about stuff like the bird flu, stuff like that keeps her up at night. I have a driving phobia and she can drive anywhere. We are alike in a lot of ways and we are different in a lot of ways too. When I am anxious, I hide. I don't want to talk to anyone so I shut myself away. When my sister is anxious, she calls everyone she knows. She is more trusting than I am, and I hold grudges longer. We are very close though.

Me, I have six sisters. But I am close to my sister next to me. I can say, we are almost different in everything. She is talkative, she likes to put make ups in her face, she knows how to dance, to sing, she is humorous, she is liberated in terms of clothing. Me, i am a loner, i use to be silent at all times and just talk when I needed to, I don't put make ups on my face because it only gives me pimples, I am conservative with regards to clothing. But even though our personality are contrasting we are still good friends aside from being a sister. She likes my company, and I like her company too. She do tell her secrets to me, even those liberated secrets and me reacting with my conservative way of thinking.

Isn't it wonderful the things sisters can share, in spite of their differences. Three cheers for sisters! Thanks for sharing

i have a thirteen year-old sister (she's younger) and though we share the same interests, we differ in many other ways. for example, she is much more flexible and talented than I am. People frequently say that she is a lot more beautiful than I can ever be. On the other hand, I am more patient and opinionated than she is. I am also an introvert while she is an extrovert.

On the outside my sister is probably seen by society as more beautiful than me as well. Lucky it is what is on the inside that counts. Thanks for sharing

My sister and I are almost as different as night and day. I can tolerate much more than she can by far. She is more self centered and I try to help out when and where I can instead of worring about myself all the time. She talks to my parents only when she wants something and I try to talk to them when ever I can. And she irks the heck out of me when she gets into self obsessed mode.

I don't know about now as we don't keep in touch, but when my sister and I were teenagers my sister wore make up, partied, went to school dances, drank, smoked, sunbathed, and was flirtatious. Like your sister, my sister would spend extra time to get ready when she was going ANYWHERE. I on the other hand wouldn't bother much with make up then (and I certainly don't bother with it now :P), I never partied, I only went to one school dance (which was my junior high year book dance and NO ONE danced, just signed year books, so to me this doesn't count LOL), I didn't drink, I've never smoked, I don't like sunbathing, and I'm a terrible flirt. :P We didn't have anything in common then other than a guy we were both interested in. Guess who won? ;) LOL Other than that we are like night and day. :P

Although me and my sister get along great, we are very different in so many ways. My sister is very high maintenance, always having her hair done or her nails done, she doesn't work, but then she is married to a guy that makes good money. She always has to have a new vehicle, in fact we kid her that if her car needs new tires, she just gets a new vehicle LOL. She loves shopping, and spending money, and loves to travel as long as it's a 5 star hotel. I on the other hand love the outdoors, work as a wildland firefighter for the forestry service, would rather travel on the harley then fly anywhere, and camping out suits me better than a 5 star hotel any day. I don't mind dressing up, but jeans and a tshirt fit me better.

Well, physically I and my sister do have lots of differences. As if we don't shar the same genetic codes. She inherited my greatgrandmother looks on the paternal side while I got mine from my grandmother in maternal side. The only thing that made her my sister is our height and body structures. Moreover, my sister is more meticulous while uh...*thinking* always don't give a damn on things. She loves visual arts while I despise that thing. She hates to cook while that is my passion. But despite those differences, our relationship prospers each day we're together.

I have seven 6 sisters (don't have a brother). We are close with each other. But sometimes, we got misunderstanding because our personality differ from each other. I am very close to our eldest because we are almost have the same taste, in clothing, in attitudes. But she is now married and has 2 kids. I have a sister who is quite and conservative and always notice me whenever I go out with friends. She is overprotected. I have also a sister who is talkative but then conservative, acts in boyish style, but feminine inside. Likes to kid around, but when joke is addressed to him easily get mad. My other sister are still young and it is hard to tell common traits they possess. But they are also talkative and jamming. When we are all at home, at house seems like a market because you can hear a lot of noise, some cry, some sing, some will dance while others just want to be the audience who watch and laugh.

I have a little sister. Who I love dearly. But we can be very different. Unless she is upset, she is generally quiet. I am by no means a quiet person. She tends to follow, I lead. She hardly gives her opinion and I well I'm here on mylot aren't I? I am a jeans and t-shirt kinda gal. Short or long sleeve, doesn't matter. She is the blouse type. But we both I think, have good hearts. And in the long run that's what counts.

My sister and I are very much alike, except that she is much taller than I am and we are ten years apart. When we were younger she would pick things that she liked that were different from my likes just to be different. For example, me - bangs, like purple & black, under achiever; her - no bangs, like brown & burgandy, over achiever and the list goes on. Things have changed (I no longer have bangs) and it doesn't bother her. She always wanted to be different, part of that is because she would get called by my name. I remember telling her in a Build A Bear store that it was okay to pick out the same bear I was (she was putting hers back because we picked the same one). If we liked the same things there was no crime against it. She finally relaxed after that. But we do have the same mannerisms and talk in the same way - except I'm a bit more peppy sounding. We even do the same eye flutter - which I didn't know I did until my loverly husband pointed it out. I find that eye flutter very annoying.

I have 6 younger sisters and i have to watch almost all of them. They are a big part of my life and i love all of them. I do differ with all of my sisters because i am older than them. I am the beauty queen. I do have to put on a face before i go anywhere. We also differ cuz my sisters look up to me and they think that they have to act like me by doing meture things. I love my sisters but we do have many things that we do not have in common but at the same time we have many things that are in common :)

I can really say that me and my one and only sister differs a lot. From the point that you can see us on your own naked eye, you can instantly say that we're both opposite. It's because she's too big and i'm too thin. She has straight hair and I have curly hair. Moreover, my sister loves to cook and I don't know how to cook at all..lol Sometimes she doesn't have that long patience but for me, I can endure anything if it's needed. I don't give up immediately. There are still a lot of differences we have but I guess it would be too long if I would share it all. lol I guess that would be enough. Thanks!

well we're opposites too. hehe a bit similar to you actually. she's more of a vain prick, whereas i don even care how i look.(well figuratively speaking of course) not tht interested anyway. she is also way to sentimental, whereas, not me. i can hold my own and am prone to sentiments and mushy stuff. but like you, i too wouldn't change anything abt her. i have another sis too similar in some ways, totally different in others. she's more into punk, rock, gothic. of course she likes to make up and all too. she's also real sentimental. but both of us are interested in some similar things too unlike my other sis.
