i was really pleased the other day when a work mate commented on my daughters good manners. i have to admit she does not always have good manners at home, but when she is out in public, she is so polite and nice.i think this comes from my mum who pulls my children up every time their manners slip.who in your family is responsible for instilling good manners to your children

Well I do like to think that my children do have good manners. I am also one who tries to instill what my mum instilled in me as I was growing up. They know when to use their please and thankyous. I am often told how polite they are. Makes one very proud when those kind of comments are received. AT home they can be a bit sloppy but are mostly quite good.

it does make you proud when someone comments.goood on you for teaching them well.i think all kids can be sloppy at home, mine are,but they are never sloppy around their nanna, she is on them straight aways and does not draw breath until they say please or thankyou.cheers sue

I don't have kids yet.. but I can proudly say that my parents did taught me good manners. Even with simple things like greeting and being polite especially to anyone older than me.. Not just good manners but also being a good citizen like instead of throwing up my garbages anywhere, I would definitely keep my garbage until I found a thrash can to throw it to. It's nice to know that your daughters have good manners. How your kids act or do reflects on what kind of parent/s you are.. and I guess you have done a very good job about it. :) Keep it up.. May God bless your family. Take care
