In the upper left corner hold down the esc (escape) button when you turn on your laptop. This will take you to a page that gives you ways to start up your windows. You can choose to start from a time when windows was working, or from a safe mode. In safe mode you can do a recovery to what ever date you think the laptop was working at it's best. You will not lose any information or any downloads. It just changes your windows back to a later date. I hope this is what you are referring to.

Theres are many software that can be used in recovering many files even we accidental delete it or format our laptop harddisk. As long we don't use any other software that can swipe all files in our harddisk. I always use it when one of my harddisk had been corrupted.

Basically in a laptop , the recovery is default. if you want to recover your laptop's OS , restart the laptop , & during booting you will find some message at the bottom . Like if u press some key , the laptop goes into recovery mode.. Once entered into that mode , simple steps to recover to day 1 OS.Did this info helped you?
