Has anybody ever had to deal with this? I tried to wash it out this morning and no..... It hasn't been put in the drier as I knew that would be disasterous! Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance for any and all help here! ~Heavens~

It is light blue with Lightening McQueen all over it and a very nice blanket but you may be right as a possible last resort! Thanks so much for asking your sister for me...I really appreciate it! :) ~Heavens~

Have you tried putting it in the freezer sweety? With a lot of things like that if you freeze them then you can scrape the stuff off and then just wash it as usual! Hope this helps - I know for a fact it works for things like chewing gum etc so it should work for silly putty! xxx

Uh-oh!! I don't let the kids play with silly putty or playdoh just for that reason. I hate that stuff. Maybe you could try taking a piece of ice and rub it on there and see if that helps it come off.

My son needs to have access to this type of stuff because it is part of his therapy however I should have supervised him more closely with it! :) Thanks so much for your response my friend! ~Heavens~

You can either use WD-40 or follow the directions on this link. http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/home/heloise/laundry/remove-silly-putty-dec02 Else you can wash the blanket and scrape it off. I never had trouble with silly putty, used it to lift off messages from newspaper and kept it in that egg cube of it. Besides my sons were interested in legos, cars, trucks, and making noise.

Probably heaven. To be perfectly honest I can't recall a time when we have, although I'm sure I have had a time like it. probably when I was a child, my son has got some play dough on his shoes that won't come off... LOL ~Joey

I remember years ago my daughter got gum on her hair, was told to put brass/copper cleaner on it!! I did and it came out easy, this may work for silly putty as well.

You might try treating it as if it's a wad of bubble gum. Stick it in the freezer or put an ice pack on it (don't put an ice cube directly on it otherwise you'll have a slimy mess as the ice cube melts). Once the silly putty is frozen you might be able to scrape most of it off. The last time I had to deal with this I got the majority of it off like that...there was just a spot left that was silly putty colored...and the remaining residue came off in subsequent washings eventually.
