Do sad songs REALLY make you cry?

I was downloading songs on my IPOD and there were a few on there that made me cry. There was one my boyfriend sent to me that made me cry cuz it was so sweet! That was the first time I can remember crying over a song and it wasn't for a sad reason.
What about you...Do songs make you cry????

i have cried when listening to music more then once. songs about my mom or memories. songs that touch my heart and soul. songs that bring up the past. am i weird?

Wow, I was crying cuz I downloaded a few songs, we call, "Mommy songs" too. These are the songs that remind me of my mom too... When I start missing her, I wanted to have the songs there to listen to. You must have been reading my mind!!!
My moms name is Jackie, so I found, Jackie Blue. Then I added, you and me against the world. It's a Helen Reddy song. My mom sang that to me when I was little. And I added a song from Escape club called I'll be there.
You and I have great minds I guess cuz I've heard it said, great minds think alike!!!!LOL.

Oh yeah. More so when I'm upset or depressed about something. That's usually when i listen to sad music. I find music to be a release and it helps me write poems when I'm sad. I love listening to "emo" music. Anything with a slow beat to it pretty much makes me cry my eyes out. And then I feel better.

I tend to listen to such songs when I'm feling hat way! It helps cuz I think some songs can touch what I feel and the emotions come out and instead of bottling them up inside. It helps...very true...

I feel the same way.... I tear up at some songs... Especially if a memory is evoked!

it depends on my mood on the time i am listening to the sad song.,. if im a bit sad or down when i listen to it it would surely make me cry..,gosh even tv commercials makes me cry waaaa...

Lots of songs have made me cry. The one that comes to mind first is the song by Billy Bragg called 'Everywhere'. I've only listened to that song once to its entirety. It's a song about war. It's really depressing. Although, I love all of Billy Bragg's songs. I think everyone should check out his stuff.

hell yeah they do,one day i thought my man was cheating and i heard our song come on then chris brown came on after that good bye and i balled my eyes out,it was crazy,

sad songs really makes me cry when i feel very emotional but if i don't feel emotional it doesn't makes me cry
