Tomorrow I'll send off some more valentines I stamped to send to Afghanistan for our troops to use instead of them having to buy them. I have had some help but with these I have managed to hand stamp and make over 400! Hope you like them!

Those are very nice. That is a thoughtful thing that you are doing. The soldiers need to know that we appreciate all they do by being away from home in this kind of a situation. What you are doing helps them to know that people over here do think about them and appreciate their sacrafices.

You had to have worked very hard on those. They look great! What a good idea, and something I wouldn't have thought about. Glad to know we have people like you who do. : )

Thanks Amber! I appreciate the positive feedback...here's one for you to toss around and let me know what you think. I have a friend that came over last week to learn how to stamp and make cards.....her husband is disabled from Vietnam....he frequently has to go to the VA Hospital in the cities. She said that the veterans from that conflict never got a Thank you...and she wants to make a bunch of thank you's and hand them out when they go up to the hospital...do you think they would think we are nuts?

No, I don't think they would think you guys are nuts. I think they would possibly cry and also feel appreciated. My dad is a pastor, and he goes up there often to visit. He says sometimes he finds guys with no family and all they want to do is talk. They just don't get any attention.

yes i liked it much!!i think troops in afghanistan will appreciate your moral support given by a normal citizen from the country,i think is important that they feel the citizen support!!unluckly in my country which have troops in afghanistan too, italy, there are not this kind of facts toward them!!i think they liked it too receiving something like that!!in fact when i was in troops usually facts as so it was impossible to imagine for all guys there!!so i think it is a nice fact!!

I make them too, but I make them out of the lacy paper doilies and cut them to make them 3d and paste them to colored paper. I haven't made 400 but I have made as many as I can. They went out Monday. I started doing it for my kids and it just grew and grew over the years. I do them for nursing homes and kids in hospitals etc. They look like the ones from the turn of the century(the last century not this one).

I am out of the picture business until I can afford a new camera. On New Years Eve my camera was destroyed at the dance I was DJ for. I am really upset because it generates a part of my income. It will be awhile until I get a new one!

You are absolutely amazing. Those valentines are just beautiful. You are a true, caring American. I really admire you. How long does it take to make 400 of them?

It's been over a span of six months as I also make and sell cards at craft sales....and I had my sisters here one day just for stamping and we got 50 done which was amazing as they had never stamped before. But I love doing them and it's my honor to do them for the troops!
