Creative ways to get in your five?

What are some creative ways that you have found to get in those five servings of fruits and vegetables per day? It is really hard to fix that many fruits/vegetables for meals. How are you doing it?

I try to have some sort of fruit or veggie with every meal. A banana in my cereal, lettuce and tomato on a sandwich and veggies with dinner. We also have applesauce with our dinner most nights (I buy the organic, no sugar added kind). I make my hubby fruit smoothies a lot. And I like to drink V-8 Juice, although I don't know if it counts as a veggie serving. Now you've inspired me to go eat a grapefruit, crazynurse!

I was thinking about this a few days ago. I don't get it; what's so hard? 1 - fruit with breakfast or a juice. 2 - fruit or sweet veg (carrot sticks) on tea break 3 and 4 - veggies in your lunch 5 and 6 - veggies with your dinner I can get 7 in for people who have pudding and up to 9 or even 10 for people who snack on fruit after work (or whatever it is you do with your day). Whole fruit smoothies are a great way to do it, and for those that cannot cope with a big meal (like myself) snacking on fruit and veg through the day will do just fine.

I just eat them. I have to admit I'm not very creative, the most creative thing would be fruit salad and for veg, well I don't eat to much. my wife cooks me carrots sometimes, my son steals them because he loves 'em. ~Joey

Juicing fresh fruits and vegetables is a good way to get in your 5 a day. I don't do it every day like I should, but I find it the easiest way to get in my 5 when I do it. Otherwise it can be difficult to meet that daily requirement, especially if one isn't taking supplements.

I have a salad, with another veggie for dinner, I also have an apple for lunch with a glass of juice and juice for breakfast. You can have two servings at one time. I find that 8 oz of oj is not enough I will take 16 and drink during the day and have an apple for snack. Have an salad with some meat for lunch and for dinner have salad and a veggie and an orange or banana for dessert.
