Favourite festive must-eat food?

The lunar new year is around the corner. I associate it with festive foods. Like barbecued sliced roast meat (Bak Kua) and new year cookies like almond and cashew nut cookies. I especially like the cookies that are shaped like a cashew nut and have half a cashew nut laid on top. I guess it wouldn't quite seem like the lunar new year without these snacks. Do you have a favourite festive snack? IF you do not celebrate the lunar new year, then what is something that you MUST eat at say, Christmas, or Eid, or a major festival you celebrate?

I don't particularly have any favorites but there will be some I will eat and some I won't eat. But whether I eat a lot or not really will depend on whether I am feeling healthy. Lol:P

Must-eat food in a major festival? The reunion dinner of course. At every dinner, I can skip it, miss it or eat outside. On CNY eve, there is no choice but a must to eat at home. Festive foods to me are more luxurious for the stomach and mind which can be done without - unfortunately the spirit is weak with the mind. I gobble anything that is on display. lol.

I know which one you mean, the cookies for Imlek right? there is another one that has pork meat in it, but I'm trying to be pure vegan so I wouldn't eat it. I'm not chinese but I used to go to China town quite a lot. I don't have any must eat food, even for festive. I do crave for orange juice and french fries sometimes, that's about it
