Well I haven't been here in a while but I did put a new photo on my avatar. I noticed that there are a few of my friends here that I haven't seen in many months and I wanted to say HI. I have cut my hair (myself) and gave me some bangs and it is darker so some may not remember me from my first avatar picture.
I also recently cut my man's real curly hair and it got me thinking. I have always had retarded wavy hair. Not straight and not curly. I have always wanted to have either straight or curly but found that people always wanted the opposite of what they had.
How about you? What kind do you have? What kind would you want?

You have nothing to worry about if its only your father that is bald. It weird, but girls get their hair genes from their father, and boys get theirs from their mother. So if you are worried about baldness, look at the men on your mothers side of the family. That will tell you if you are going to go bald eventually.

I have 1/2 a head of hair and it's shrinking, I am getting close to shaving the head.

Firstly welcome back! I like ladies with long straight hair it suits them, and I like your avatar, I always like to see the person who is both my friend and who I am responding to. I have straight short hair myself, I always keep it short, it's brown, I wish it was blond, I did have blond hair as a child then it turned brown! I have highlighted and bleached it blond in my youth, but now it's just kept as short as possible, I can't bear spending hours trying to gel hair into place.

Your haircut/color is very pretty. You do look different! I didn't recognize your avatar at first yesterday.
My hair is a little wavy. I like to blow dry it straight. If I could change my hair it would be the color of my daughter's (like a wheat color). And it would dry straight without the blowdryer!!!

I have to dry mine straight too or it waves. I would also love my daughter's hair. It is orange and totally pretty. She is 12 and at that age where they hate almost everything about themselves but one thing she likes is her hair. She would love to be a shampoo model. LOL

It looks good Vicki! :)
Is this the first time you cut your hair yourself?
I remember when I cut my bangs myself for the first time (I was 11 or 12), and let me just it was a complete disaster! :P LOL But I learned from it and gave it another shot and the following times I did it, it was a lot better. LOL
As you can see I have straight hair. When I was younger I wanted curly so I had a perm (or 4 LOL) when I was in my teens. They were all spread out within a few years time so my hair did get to grow out straight, but I'd get bored of it and get another perm. :P Now I am perfectly satisfied with my straight hair and if I ever want curly again I'll just use a curling iron instead. LOL
Welcome back! :)

Yeah I did a few perms in my teens too. I wouldn't do it again cause it burned my hair. I love your hair. Glad to be back!

Your bangs look nice and it makes you look very different from the earlier avatar you had.
I have unmanageable wavy hair. I've always wanted straight hair...it's only a few years back that I wanted it real bad. But I was apprehensive of getting it straightened out if it would look poker straight. A few months back I got it ironed out and it actually suited me better than my own hair and even my husband (who likes my wavy hair) said the straightened out one looked better. I am still contemplating going for a permanent one.
PS...it's easier to manage too when it's straight....is longer and is just the right thickness.

I think you are right about it being easier when it is longer . My bangs are all wanky in the morning but the rest is fine.

hi vicki!! ^__^
wow! that's a whole lot 'a change!!! amazing. your new hair really looks great and your bangs are nice. ^__^ i have always wanted bangs and i tried to have it when i was young but it really wasn't for me. it doesn't look great on my face. ^__^;; or maybe i had to use some hair treatment to make it look nice?? ^__^;;
my hair is wavy and its not really black. its color is from very dark brown to black. i have tried having a straight hair before and i've enjoyed the beauty of it. my hair is fine right now, wavy as it is, but i want to try having curly hair. straight hair is becoming boring and curly hair is currently the fad so i want to try and have a different look. but i'm kinda scared because it might not look good on me. ^__^;;
anyway, you really look great in that avatar vicki. ^__^

Not liking my hair is the exact reason I always wear a drawstring ponytail. (A ponytail of fake hair that you attach to your own by use of two combs. You pull the drawstring tight to make sure its secure) My hair has different stages to it, depending on what time of month it is. Right after I perm it, if I do it correctly, its so bone straight and very manageable. I like this because I can curl it and not worry about it flying away. After about two weeks it starts getting curly. People like it, but I don't because it only looks like it would be cute in a style. When it gets that way its very unruly and will not do what I want it to. Then a few weeks later the new growth comes and it gets poofy. I have never really had nappy hair, it just gets poofy and I don't like it, because it won't gel right, curl right, or nothing. Its just a mess. So its time to get another perm lol.

I usually have my hair in a ponytail because I don't like my hair either.
Your hair in the picture is very pretty.

Hi Vicki...I like your new avatar, you look great!
I have very straight hair and of course would like to have some wave to it. I have gotten a few perms and body waves in my life, but not for a long time. My photo is on my home page if you want to see my hair.lol

Vicki, I have always wanted straight hair the kind that is straight and long that lays where it is suppose to. I love it when it shaines. I love your new hair cut. Mine has some curl and some wave. I am trying to let it grow long.

I have long semi wavy, but mostly straight hair. My hair is really fine so it knots up terribly. I would just like hair that would make up its mind what it wants to do and stay like that. Mine gets a little wavy if I let it air dry or if I sweat. I hate it.

Mine does that too. I have to blow dry it so it stays straight but over time goes wavy too. I wish it would make its mind up too. Thanks

You must have been away for some time because I barely rmember you. I guess it's nice to have you back. I like to see that the members here are sort of active and not leave for good. I like this site very much and want it to stay popular in the internet world.
I don't know what your hair was like before, but I do say it looks okay now. I don't cut my own hair because I have a sister that is a hairdresser and she owns her own shop and so I get it done for free. I wear my hair long and layered with a little bit of a wisp for a bang. It is strawberry blonde with a tad bit of grey, but not much.

Hey there. Yeah I think the most I have been away was a few weeks during the holidays but am here a few time a week besides that. I have gotten paid a few times already which is nice but even with the few weeks off I was always thinking that I would love to pop in and say hi to everyone. I have made some good friends here. :)

I must say I like your new look and the hair. Very attractive!!! I'm new to this site and haven't uploaded a picture yet. But, you're right. I have wavy hair and I want it straight. I'm in the process of growing it to about shoulder length and it's in the in-between stage right now (the ugly stage - YUK!). When my hair gets to the desired length, I will be straightening it. By the way, I'm a male in my 30's. I'm just going for a new look, too. Middle-age crisis or something!
