Please do that.I have come across a couple of advices that are really contraindicated for some ailments.People are ready to give advices left and right to boost their earnings. You wont be knowing who is advising you.

Bala, I actually give quite a bit of advices here on cardiac problems. But then, those are totally the advice of an ace cardiologist. Many times I would ask him before answering. I would never want anyone to suffer from the 'bad' advices, not in the least. I think, Bala, people tend to let out advices with a good intention in mind and we still have a strong belief in some age old granny's superstitions, which even though have lost its authenticity are well outdated now! Some of them are workable, most are myths in all possible ways. So, we cannot blame ppl altogether. What we can do is to use our little brains and before actually implementing those we can well authenticate the advice.

You are quite alright Mimpi. We got to use our brains.I have come across many tips on diabetics which are lethal. There is a lot of misconceptions in the sole idea of giving hopes to diabetics which really don't work. Well I know you are a qualified person and as you know I always respect your opinions and for that matter any qualified person. Thanks for the response. As usual it is full of substance.

Thanks for understanding.I am very wary of Diabetes because my mom and grand mother were diabetics.I have seen many people here including my friends advising diabetics to take honey and other sweeteners which contain the sugar. So the discussion. Please have a look at may PM.

Bala, I feel, we should never go by advices which might affect us immediately. Like diabetes. It would be very silly to go by any and every advice we get. You should always go for expert opinion (which I know you do). BTW, I couldn't open Helium and see your article on diabetes. Could you pls resend the link?

Haha,i am my doctor, haha.I do not go to the doctor anymore for an ailment(im hardly ever sick)i have a doctors book, herbel books, check on the internet section on health and stay away from antibiotics.I do not ask others for help if im sick, like for advice.I trust myself better than anyone else. What has worked for others may not for me and well,i dont know what else to say other than doctors always dont know what they are talking about either.I took my daughter to 5 doctors one time for her "ECZEMA"and they all had different things to say, that it was a virus, that it was ringworm, that it was scabbies, that it was allergys, etc. Not one had told me exactly what it was until i went online and found out it was eczema for myself, also they all gave me tons of different medications to put which i ended up paying like around 200.00 for it in all, just one tube of cream big like a tootsie roll cost 75.00!!WOW and it only worked for 3 weeks and never cleared up.So,i went and saw another which was a new young doctor and i got a cream which works o.k so far.I will not listen to anyone on here, haha! Peanutjar:)

Dear ladies! Could you please suggest me a home remedy or some time tested cure for the psoriasis patch on my foot? Doctors don't have a clue with psoriasis of any kind I know.

I have to keep sure that when she takes a bath that its not too hot,no bubble baths or anything with a smell in it.She still has it,its dry alot and im sooo sick of trying different creams, shes sooo sick of trying different creams that she will not let me put the last one on that i got.I have to do it when shes sleeping. We were almost nuts, not one doctor had the same diagnose as another! That goes to show how much some of them really know and misdiagnose people. Most of the cream was too strong and she had allergic reactions to it(burning alot and red)I think for me cortico steriod cream for a child is unnessary to use snce they are so young and most of them prescribed me this.I try to stay away from doctors alot, they seem to like to give alot of antibiotics to kids alot, making their immune system become weak and catch more bugs due to it.Since i stopped taking her for a cold or flu,no antibiotics and her immune system is stronger now and if shes sick(like today)its a small cold which can be helped at home with lots of good foods, orange juices, brocolli and chicken soups and also lots of love, hehe!

I do hear what you are saying my friend, and you are of course absolutely right, but for me I have found that the advice given to me during the time I have been on Mylot is far better and superior to my doctor, mind you the local tom cat is more knowledgeable and friendly than my GP! But that's just my experience and yes I should change my doctor AGAIN! I know conflicting advice is given by people but I think most will size up the information and will act accordingly and sensibly but as I said it is best to seek the advice from the doctor but seeking advice here does help a great deal and may if the advice is correctly used and heeded save a visit to the deadly doc!

I do not think that it would be very bright to take advice from anyone accept a face to face doctor. I do not even take the advice of online doctors. Everyone's situation is different. I may make suggestions, but if a person decides to listen to me as a professinal doctor, I can't help that. I do not believe that there is a cure for stupid.

Very correct. You can get different ideas and suggestions and it is in our hands to verify and find if it works or it is a farce.
