60 Minutes did a profile of Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg. The show drew a season-low number of viewers, about five million less than average.
Are 60 Minutes' older viewers uninterested in the social networking sites that are so wildly popular with youth today? Are aging 20-somethings soon going to find these sites too juvenile? Will the young and tech-savvy find them too passe?

I believe that most people who are older don't either have time for such things as Facebook or have their social circles set so are not concerned about them. As far as younger people getting bored with it, well that is already happening. I am 29, I don't understand why people are on MySpace and Facebook. I know at least 20 people (ages ranging from late teens to mid-thirties) that feel the same way. I think they are all quite ridiculous, plus if you are looking for a job and the person you are interviewing with happens to find you on such a site, then you probably won't get the job regardless of what is on the page.

I certainly didn't find any attractive a year ago when I signed up invited by a friend. I heard much since and still have to pay a visit to check it again. Seems they builded lots of aps around facebook including game that can turn the site more attractive to others than the core fans.

I think for older people it would depend on what they want or expect from a social networking site. If you are a work at home individual, these sites are quite necessary. They make the business world so much smaller and more readily accessible. There is the juvenile side yes, but when you are serious about what kind of contacts you want this can be ignored.
