Do your feet suffer terribly with blisters? Do you get a lot of blisters on your feet if you have been walking? What do you do with them? How do you treat them?I only walked a couple of miles today to the big town when I came back my feet were soooo sore! And had blisters on them! I do suffer a lot with blisters, they are always on the heel on my foot, trouble is I love walking. I have to get out and get some fresh air and exercise. I even went to find out about my local gym, but if I am going to be running, jogging on the treadmill to get my weight down, I need to sort my feet out first The body and mind is willing but the feet aren't!Isn't it a shame we can't go to the shoe shop and order a new pair of feet as well as a new pair of shoes. I wear slip ons, as I don't like lace ups and they are not tight on me. Whenever I walk, no matter how far my feet feel so tired, sore and blistered Any remedies, cures, or suggestions for wolfie's poor feet? Or would anyone like to massage them for me? (Ok only joking!) I love my feet massaged!

The blister occurs from skin rubbing on something so you could try wearing some light cotton socks. Other than that I can only suggest some proper shoes for jogging. Best of luck to you I was in a new job when I was a lot younger and spending all day on my feet. By the time I arrived home I could barely walk. The old guy that lived downstairs gave me a foot rub with methylated spirits and while it stank and didn't feel particularly good (I love foot rubs/massages too)my feet were never a problem fro that day on. He did each foot for about 10 minutes and was really rough with me. It was like a miracle.

I hate touching someone elses feet honey but I'd gladly do it for you!!! Have you thought of getting some of these trainers with the elastic through so that they didn't slip as much? I was going to suggest heel pads for your shoes but if they are slightly loose you will still get blisters! I do hope you find a solution sweety - I hate to think of you having all those blisters! xxxx

First off you need to get shoes that are appropriate for your activitys. Odviously your normal ones aren't working right. Second, as the blisters form you can carefully drain them with a pin. Done right it will cut down on the discomfort & get them healing quicker.

You have to get proper fitting shoes and there has to be some padding at the places you get blisters on. I can only wear leather and I cannot wear anything where I feel the stitching. I also use sole inserts and those inserts at the heel in case the shoe is a bit large at the back. I found this site http://walking.about.com/cs/blisterschafing/bb/bybblister.htm and this one http://www.thewalkingsite.com/blisters.html that will tell you what to do.

Hello dear wolfie. I used to have blisters if I had too much walking without a good pair of walking shoes. But now I always wear comfortable walking shoes and it seems that this kind of problem has not arisen for a long time. I am so sorry for the sore feet and blisters on your heel. I think that massaging the sore feet is helpful. Also some warm, hot water helps the sore feet. Why not have a try? But be careful with the blisters, dear wolfie.

Yes you need to buy better shoes. You may have to wear the ones with laces because it sounds like the back of the shoe is rubbing your heels. Another thing you can do if you can't buy better ones, is put bandaides on your heels and they will take most of the absorbtion when rubbing. When I buy new runners I usually have to do this for about two weeks till I break them in.

They were slip ons, I tried changing to lace ups, and guess what I walked for an hour on Thursday and NOT one single blister. So the shoes have to go! Trouble is the trainers are old but comfy, but my feet come first thanks my friend

Blisters are caused from new or improper footwear. If there is a spot on your footwear, specifically causing the blister, what I do (and works like a charm) is to take a hammer and pound that particular area. It softens the fabric and prevents further blisters. What harm could it do to try. It will not damage the shoe, only the cause of the problem. Hee Hee You'll see.

Hi Wolfie I am one of those people who have no money but love to wander around and see what is new, Yesterday I cam across a cool thing for blisters, it is a small clear jell pad that you apply in your shoe where it is rubbing and causing a blister, years ago there was a thing called moleskin that was pretty much the same idea but it was thick and sticky on the back so it sometimes didn't work when the shoes were to tight to begin with, but the jell pads are thin and smooth so I am sure there would be no pressure or rubbing I found them in a pharmacy store

I pop them and then have a bath. I don't mean rip my foot half off, just to get the mess inside out and then bam I can walk and then I take care of it. foot cream, fresh air, cleaning it until it heals. Personally if they build up they become much worse for me then it feels like to pop 'em and it doesn't really hurt me. Unlike when they won't go and with me walking everywhere I tend to get the worst pain and then walk like a zombie. (which is fun) but lets face it painful. ~joey P.s It's actually effective for me ;)

I would love to help you out in a personal massage for those feet but across seas only a 'reiki' approach might work; however, there is a product featured on my page here that may interest you. Offered by Masada spa, we have a line of footcare that is phenomenal ! If that is not feasible for you, then try epsom salts and a pumice stone to stop what I believe is calluses rather than blisters--unless you have very sensitive skin and any irritation, even the slightest neglect to those footsies, needs some tlc . . . sharing the light and happy new year, Miss Erica Hidvegi, the Enlightenment_Advisor, B.A. Psych/M.A. Transpersonal Studies- Cnslng/Author, Artist, Photographer, Entrepreneur & Freelance extraordinaire

it might be your shoes. try putting bandaid on your feet where u get blisters and see if that helps... soak your feet . if u have not walked alot try slowing down and dont walk as far at a time
