Band Teacher

There was a little boy in the news, I dont know if you all have heard of this. But, the little boy forgot his instrument at and the band teacher made all the students in the class empty their mouth peices full of spit in his hand. The school suspended the teacher for this action. Do you think he should be fired or do you think suspencion is enough? My personal oppinion is that he should be fired. There are other forms of punishment than having classmates spit in his hand. Not only is it disgusting but it also causes germs, and God knows what other types of viruses or diseases. I would love to hear your feed back. Thanks!

He's luckey I wasn't teh student. I'd have gone over & wiped it off on his shirt then let him explain it to the principal. This teacher needs some pretty harsh punmishment himself. Suspension is just a vacation. How about a nice paycut & forced to work on extra afterschool projects.

Thats really gross. there are lots of better punishments. Its bad teachers that make us parents concerned about sending our kids to publoc school. He should definately be held responsible for his action. If it were up to me, I would fire him.

that's disgusting. do you know how old the teacher was? it sounds like something some octogenarian catholic school teacher would do. if it's the first time the teacher's done something like this then i don't suppose firing her/him is the best option. however, s/he should have to apologize profusely to the child and parents. and i hope s/he's wildly embarrassed by the whole situation.

That is definately a new form of punishment. I don't think that would help me remember to bring my instrument the next day. I do believe I would have quit band after that though!
