I've read e-books and I've listened to audio books but good old fashion printed books win every time. I prefer them as you can (usually) take them anywhere in your bag. I can read at a bus stop, on the train, when waiting for an appointment, at a particulary boring relatives etc I also take pleasure out of handling books and the smell of either very new or very old books. A particualr problem with audio books is that I find them much too slow, I read a lot faster in my head. As for e-books, well, I like to shift postions when I read, sitting to lying etc, which isn't always paratical when reading from a screen, plus if I buy something I like to have something tangible to show for my purchase thus the two bookshelves in my bedroom!

I don't think staring at the computer screen for a long period of time does my eyes any good. When I see something that is really long, I usually don't read it, skim it or save it for another day (that usually never comes). I would rather hold a book in my hands. As a writer who hopes to be published I don't think an e-book has the same exposure that a printed book gets. And I don't think as many people would be interested in purchasing an e-book as they would purchasing a book from the book store or renting from the library. I am not into e-books at all.

I never read an e-book. I have a few, but only because I can't find them to read as books. I don't like reading a lot on the screen. Books are meant to be read on paper.

I like to read the old fashioned way. I like a written book. I just borrowed 4 books from the library on Monday. I've tried a e=book.or a book on tape.

I very much prefer real books. I have problems reading books on the computer as I constantly lose my place because I have to stop and scroll. Also as was priorly mentioned it's easier to take a book with you wherever you want to go. Airplanes for instance, if I recall rightly you have to have permission to use any form of electronics on a plane and even then whether or not they allow it varies. But a book no one is going to complain about. (Unless of course you get those rather large copies of classic literature.)

I have never read an ebook, I would love to try one of those new gadgets where you can download books and such but can't afford them right now. Plus I love the feel and smell of a book. So I will probably keep on reading the paper kind, but you know electronic books are more eco friendly.

Jose to be honest with you i do not like e-books all that much because, when i sit in front of the screen for all hours my eyes start to hurt. it gets annoying when i am sitting in front of a screen. also its not so easy to just take this big bulky thin laptop around all the time. plus the battery is able to die. a book doesn't do all of that. a book is easy to put to the side and easy to pick up at anytime to finish reading again. go paperback i say.! ^^

I can never read an e-book. I enjoy reading books printed in paper. You can take them anywhere you and read them anytime without having to keep loggig in and out of your PC each time you feel like reading. This technoloy does not make me feel good at all.
