I'm a 43 year old mother of 3, so people are often surprised that I like heavy, rocking music. All of my friends are into country music, but that's what my MOM listens to !!! (okay, I admit I like Trace Adkins and maybe Tim McGraw, but I draw draw the line there). So what do you listen to? I range from Sarah McLachlan to 90's alternative to Linkin Park.

Classical mostly, but also Vanessa Mae, some country, Dixie Chicks, Dolly Parton and a few other female singers, I've not really explored other country performers mucsh though. I also like the Medieval Baebes and some other artists in the "Folk" type of music.

I have to say I enjoy classical music too.

One reason that I like Vaness Mae is that she's a classically trained violinist who has taken classical music to a new level with her arrangements. I'm listening to her "Storm" CD now - one of my favorites.

I love listening to r&b and pop, and especially love listening to ballads. I also like to listen to soft rock and alternative songs at times.

I'm 44 and there is no way you would ever find me listening to Country~ unless it is Carri Underwood's When He Cheats. I usually listen to the hits on satillite radio. I do also like the oldies too~ like the 70's and 80's music.

I listen to pretty much everything there is. But I find I dislike the vast majority of this newer stuff. All sounds the same to me. A few exceptions though. Bands like Wolfmother who sound like they're straight out of the 70's. A lot of what I listen to isn't in english... it could be japanese it could be swedish, finnish, or it could be dutch I've got a couple songs in french despite not understanding a word of it. A few in Latin, and by Latin I mean Latin as in 'in nomine patris et fili et spiritus sancti' and not the "New Latin" that is actually spanish. So yeah you could go from a nice violin concerto to some swedish guys screaming in finnish about trolls out for blood. :D

I like all the old stuff, from classical to rock and roll to big band. I do not like opera! I also like panpipe, flute and various types of harp and zither music. I used to play the drums and still play percussion and am learning to play the guitar zither. Particular artists are not as important as the music itself. Oh yeah I left out jazz. Mostly old jazz. I like the new artists as long as it is real jazz and not just new music made to sort of sound like jazz. Shalom~Adoniah
