So you actually think the golden rule really is a karma thing, "Do unto other as you like other so unto you"?

Practicing the golden rule will never cause any harm. It will make you feel good and no one can take that away from you. With all of life's problems, it helps to take our minds off of our own problems. Try it, it works.

Not sure if it is a karma thing. But I do know it works and I try my hardest to practice it everyday with meeting with people and meeting them online like this. Does not mean I tell everyone my life history. But just be kind and talk or post as I would want them to talk to me or treat me.

Well something like that anyway. As you sow so shall you reap, it'll come back and haunt you etc. It's all the same thing really. If you do good stuff then good stuff is meant to happen to you but whether it is in this life I'm unsure cos if it is I'm owed a few good ones. Who knows who makes these things up and why we believe them, maybe because hope is the most precious thing?

you know - you could have a point there...although i do think sometimes that bad things still do happen to good people, you know? so how do you explain that? that certainly doesn't quite agree with the golden rule, right?
