Airboat ride in Florida

Ever saw an airboat? It’s that weird looking watercraft that we often see in AXN’s CSI Miami when they have to go deep into the marshes in order to dive for evidence. The airboat is a small motorboat, which is powered not by an underwater propeller but a giant fan attached to its rear. The bottom is smooth so that when it passes through grasses and other water plants, they just bend over and are not destroyed. The ride is very noisy though so we were given ear protection that we had to wear every time the boat was in motion. I didn’t know that the boat could go that fast! The trip had occasional stops when the driver would point to us different birds and animals living in the marshes. He told us funny stories about the animals in his southern accent so, all in all, it was a short but fun ride. The ride costs $23 per person but we gave the driver an extra $2, for during the entire trip, we were faced with this message in bold letters: IF YOU LIKE THE RIDE, TIP THE GUIDE. We surely did!

Our Airboat Ride In Florida - Our airboat ride
I love going on air. Where were you when you went? We have lots of friends in our neighborhood that have airboats so, we don't have to pay. We just bring snacks and drinks for everyone. Oh, and I dig worms for bait too because we also fish sometimes.
