I don't know where these came from because when I was in school and in sports, we never sold them. However the last few years they seem to be all the rage. If you haven't heard, it's a kit of frozen bread, cheese and toppings. You can then make either regular sized pizzas to share, or personal pizzas for yourself. Scouts and schools sell them at about 18$ a piece... but the good news is 5$ off the top goes right to the kids!
I love them. I buy them every time they are offered to me. I think it's nice kids are selling something I will actually use instead of magazines or something like that. However, I only buy them at work for my Coworkers kids. Do you buy these? Do you think it's a good idea? They also sell frozen cookie doughs, breadsticks, and other yummy things! If you have someone at work trying to sell these, you should look into it. They are really easy to make and yummy. Funny thing is, I'm not a fan of Little Ceaser's pizza. But the kits taste much better!

I have seen those being sold for school fund raisers before. I also think it is great that the kids are selling something that people actually WANT to buy. I hated it last year when my son came home from school with a magazine fund raiser. I did get a good deal on Cooking Light at least.

Yeah for your son, you kind of have to buy something! When I was in school one year we sold Oranges and other citrus fruit in HUGE boxes! Who needs 50 oranges all at once? A lot of students sold a ton of them, but I didn't push to hard b/c I didn't want to make my family and neighbors buy that. Maybe if they sold smaller portions (like a box of 10 oranges) I would have sold a lot.
Whatever happened to good old fashioned 1 dollar candy bars? They always have great candy!

I think that the kids would have a much easier time selling the dollar candy bars than the other stuff. It makes it worse when they are selling stuff no one wants to buy (and it is usually expensive)and there is a contest and prize for the kid that sells the most.

Yep, I've heard of these. My kids got in on the beginning of these fundraisers. We did this fundraiser for the youth group at Church for several years to raise funds for summer camp. They were pretty good sellers! The cookie dough is good too, if you haven't tried it...I highly recommend it!!
The only problem we had was with the elderly in the church. They felt the price was too high. The younger generation loved it though!

Yes I love the cookie dough too. I always get the oatmeal cookies b/c, even though I love oatmeal cookies, I'm usually too lazy to make them from scratch.
Some people may think the price is too high, however once you've had it once, you have to get it everytime! Plus 18$ for 3 large pizza's isn't bad if you ask me. Just try getting three larges from the real Little Ceasers! Even with the 5$ deal that would be 15$ and they aren't even as good b/c they were sitting around.

I remember selling pizza kits when my kids were in band/chorus. They always sold very well. My nephew sold cookie dough and some other treats. I believe that these types of fundraisers always sell best. The product is usually well known and the prices are not really much higher than what you would pay for them in the stores.

I'm not fimilar with them.
If it's some sort of "easy" create a pizza thing, I personally enjoyed baking everything from scratch myself and I was young when I started. The cookies, sound very nice though and I guess it would depend but I haven't bought any.
Must not be a uk thing.

The cookies are awesome. They are frozen dough basically and when you want a few cookie you can just spoon it into a pan and cook as few or as many cookies at a time as you want. I prefer homemade, but these are still very tasty... and it is for a fundraiser so it's a good cause :)
