I agree with you. The smell is very bad when someone is smoking. And smoking can do harm to the smokers and the passive smokers even the children. So set up a "smoking ban" in the public place.

There are so many passive smokers that suffer from the smokers and the smoking will not become socially accepted as it used before.... Thanks for the sharing..

When i smoked i resented being told not to smoke and would go out of my way to light up..on a over seas flight to Tokyo from Detroit, Mi I was told i was in a non smoking area..but i was not..and i told them OK..put me in a First Class smoking area and I will move..and there was none available...i was sitting with two senior citizens who were retired and they smoked too..but the non smoking area wasjust very close..and a gentlemen and lady would cough and wave their hands around..but we smoked more because they had been stupid about asking us to please not smoke ..instead they went to the stewar and in a loud voice ratted us out..but to no avail..now i am a non smoker for 22 years and know their pain..i was wrong. just like being obese and traveling in a commercial airliner and over flowing into other seats...spoiling the flight for those people too. Ban smoking and people who take up too much seats and of course people with children who are not obeying and running jumping and screaming too..put them someplace away from the regular paying seats..some people smell bad? yuck..what would you do if you had to smell that person for 13 hours? or a drunk? not nice

Now that we ban smoking where does it end. I do not support anything that takes the rights of citizens away. Business owners should be able to alow smoking or not in their place of business. The government is not paying this business owners bills but the government is interfering with the business mans lively hood. I believe everyone has a right to do what they choose. If you do not like the smoke don't sit in the smoking section of the restaurant. If you know a bar has a majority of smokers don't go in. The other thing is who made anyone here the health police. There are studies that say hotdogs contribute to colon cancer so lets ban hotdogs. Lets stop making hotdogs and selling them. Lets put all those people out of work who work in the plants that make the dogs and put the people out of work who sell them. This will help our economy alot. Let ban the use of cars because there are tons of studies that tell how the emitions is bad for the ozone layer as well as a cause of cancer. We can all walk to work or ride a bike. Where does it stop. I have asthma and I can not stand a person who takes a bath in perfume. I think we should ban perfume because I am tired of having to take extra medication after being around these over bearing smells or I end up in the hospital because of an attack. Maybe we can put a sniffing dog at the door of all businesses to make sure no one is wearing too much perfume. Now that would be great for me. If everyone stops smoking there will be a lot of people out of work. There will be billions of dollars lost in cancer research money as well. So I guess you all better get out your check books because cancer is not just going to go away. Just because people are not smoking doesn't mean there will be no more cancer. Where does it end?

I am fully in support. I was very happy when Singapore banned more places - bus shelters, all indoor areas and etc. =D It does my lungs more good. I hope this ban will help more people to reconsider smoking and they will eventually quit smoking as smoking becomes increasingly inconvenient. It's also becoming increasingly expensive in my country.

I agre with the smoking ban also, smoking doesn't just harm the smoker but also everyone that has to inhale that sh*t. If they really want to smoke then they can do it somewhere there only smokers should be, i hope they don't ban snuff, since it only hurts the user. If they ban that it would be retarded.

Your welcome, my father used to smoke at the dinner table and its not fun inhaling that stuff that he smoked. I agre with you that smoking will not be as accepted socially as before, so people may have to decide between friends or poison stickies.

I totally disagree with the smoking ban. I am a smoker though so my opinions might be biased. Anyway, I believe that smokers have just as much right to be places as much as nonsmokers. If a non smoker doesn't want to be in a place with smokers...then don't go into the establishment. If it's cancer everyone is so worried about, well, consider what you breath in every day. Car exhaust, smoke from factories, airplane exhaust, all these things can be harmful to, but does that mean that there should be a ban on driving and stuff. i don't think so. So many other things cause cancer, but smokers get the blunt of it all. anyway, that's my rant on it

We have smoking bans here, there & everywhere in South Australia. It is even banned from smoking on ones own car of there are children under 16 years in the car. As I am, a smoker I find this difficult. Nevertheless, I support the smoking bans & try to abide by them.

I love it. I know that some smokers who have smoked for a long time like my mom can't stand it and get all up tight and ticked off. But for me who doesn't smoke it's nice to be able to not worry if I'm going to have an asmah attack from everyone else smoking around me. Yeah it's happened. And it's so my better for the kiddos.

We already have a ban in Australia, you cant smoke in any public place it is against workplace practice and employees of these pubs/clubs/casinos etc. dont want to be breathing our stale smoke and the legislation has been past, so now we all gotta outside for a smoke. i think it sucks but i do it anyway... most of the time.
