hi..we have lots of holidays..like on nov.1 all saints day, christmas,new year,labor day, ramadan,heroes day..etc..we love our president...

I'm English and here we celebrate Christmas, Easter, Valentines Day, the Queen has a party every year for her birthday so some people also celebrate that, we also have Rememberance Day the town I live in is the only one in the UK that still has Rememberance day on November the 11th no matter what day it falls on we always have a minutes silence at 11am on the 11th of the 11th. We used to celebrate St.Georges day, but we aren't allowed to celebrate that any more apparantly, St. George is the patron Saint of England, he allegedly slayed a dragon, (but that's only figurative).

In india we have holidays like New year,Republic Day,May Day,Independence Day,Gandhi Jayanthi and 8 local holidays.

I know we celebrate Independence Day here in America, but do they have the 4th of July in England? It was our independence from England that we celebrate...

Hello, baronarthur... I am not a hero, but for certain years, my birthday is a public holiday for my country,cos, the birthday of our country's Ruler falls on the 1st saturday in the month of June of every year... so, this year , the 1st saturday of JUNE,2006 is my birthday and also birthday of the Ruler of my country, so...hehe...IS A PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR MY COUNTRY !
