Any adive on how I keep my grandson from peeing through his clothes every day? He doesn't even get his diapers that wet. I swear we have them on as tight as we can get them and he still finds a way to pee up through the top. I had girls, so I'm not real familiar with boys. But they seem to pee an awful lot!

I think a lot has to do with where he is pointing when you put the diaper back on, but it also seems to matter with the different brands. My son could never wear Huggies. I bought him ONE package of those things. He peed out every single diaper.

Huggies never worked for my boys either!!! Funny because they are a more expensive brand. I understand what your saying about the pointing, it just still amazes me because it is a button so how do you point it down??? I asked my pedi this and I think he almost wet himself by laughing

My son use to pee out the sides of his nappy when i used pampers, so i changed to using "huggies natural fit" nappies and i haven't had a problem since. They are shaped better around his legs and go high enough up so that they cannot leak out and he cannot pee out the sides or top. When i used pampers nappies, he used to pee out the sides and occationally the top, but never wet the nappy much when he did it. I don't knw if you can get that type of nappy where you are, but i would advice them if you can. ~Joeys wife

Yes, it always seems to go out the top - and on his clothes, and our clothes, and the bedding..... I'll check on those natural fit ones. Thanks to everyone for their great advice!

We had similar problems with my first, we switched diaper brands and saw a big difference. We went to Pampers Cruisers and they worked very well for him. I've heard similiar things from other people, that they tried a different brand, and it seemed to fit the boy better, every baby is different and shaped differently, and all diapers are not one size fits all. So if you are using pampers, try luvs or vice versa, it made a HUGE difference for us. Good luck!

We had a lot of diapers given to us as gifts at my daughter's shower, so we're working our way through those. I wish I had kept a list of which ones seemed to leak more than others. I can tell you this, the store brand from Walmart, Parents Choice, was terrible! We gave those away after using about 4 of them.

Try a bigger size diapers, or a different brand. The sizes go by weight, but my son usually outgrew them before reaching the weight limit. Pampers swaddlers never let me down, but they only go up to size 2, after that it's Cruisers. Though they are good, they are very expensive, so I tried all different brands, including generics, until I found Luvs which are not expensive and don't leak. Make sure whatever you use has stretchy tabs so they can be nice and snug.

With boys you have to find the brand of diapers that works...I finally found Luvs worked the best for all 3 of my boys. You might just need a bigger size diaper. I never, after 3 boys figured out how they pee out their butt!!!!

I'll have to keep track of the brands we use and decide which I like best. With my girls, one could wear anything but Pampers, and the other could only wear Pampers. Go figure!
