Eastern Promises

I would strongly recommend it. Great performance by Viggo Mortensen and probably the best fight scene you'll see all year (too short though). Dark, violent, and sad though. If you saw A History Of Violence (also directed by David Cronenberg and starring Mortensen) you'll probably like Eastern Promises.

SPOILERS I watched, God Viggo is so sexy in that movie. And what a dark story, it was so real and scarry. I think mafia is one of the most horrible groups nowadays, the loyalty they ask for of their subjects and they are inhumane. The carrying carachter of Naomi Watts to save such a young girl's suffering of being raped and then adopting the little baby was moving. I think the movie begun to be so much fun when we realize Viggo is good. What a beautiful story. Their kiss after saving the baby was very sweet.
