Yes I agree to the fact that the Hotter places on the globe consume hotter or spiciest food. But it is also true that we love to have hot food during our winter season. Might be having hotter or spicy food in our country like India is a traditional one.

Here in India spice is part of any dish because it may add up to the taste and also climate here and people here are used to having such spices ...I think south is much spicier than the north..

hello, i have always been fascinated by this also.. every place on the globe has different climates, different vegetation, different spices.. i think most of the spicy or hot spices, chillies.. peppers... grows in the tropical climates.. and most of us, since wayyyyy back in time have been eating these because it has been available to us. countries that has the 4-seasons have different vegetation.... not sure if they can grow chillies or peppers, countries that has extreme weather (too hot, too cold) wont have much vegetation... less for them to 'experiment' on, or consume... so i guess... depending on the climates of the country, our food differ... because the food that we can grow differs from one climate to the other...

Acaraje - Typical Brazilian food Acaraje made with Red chili pepper.
Generally true, gues the spices grow at hot environment and are more easily included in the cooking and food. In Brazil, my home country, you can find very spice food in hot places like Salvador. We can also remember Mexican food and its peppers, thou someone local have the say.
