Some people want to have a healthy boby, so they want to do some sports. And they even go to have a swimming in winter. It is hard to believe in my opinion. I will never go to swim in winter as it's so cold for me. I think I will be ill after that:)

I did swim in winter once when I was traveling in Taiwan during the winter season few years back. That was an indoor hot spring water swimming pool, so we didn’t feel cold but warm and comfortable while swimming in the water. I felt the terrible cold and quivered right at the moment when I walked out from the warm water.

Indoor heated pools usually feel too cold for me. I like to go into the jacuzzi to warm up every so often then back to the pool for a swim. Getting undressed and into my swim suit can be cold in the winter. I like warm tropical waters to swim in that feel as warm as bath water. That is water that you can choose the temperature of. Going out of the swimming pool complex with wet hair makes me feel freezing cold.

I don't think it's warm enough to swim in the heated pool:) Perhaps I am really scared of the coldness.

Hello dear youless. Like you, I would never swim in this cold season. In fact, I do not swim, but love to stay in the water or river in summer to make me feel cool. You know, in the northeast part of our country, there are many people, either young or old, love to have a winter swim in the cold and freezing water as a means of exercising for health. I admire them for their bravery and courage. They stand for some spirit that is persistent and perseverant.

My local YMCA has an indoor heated pool so I do swim in it in the winter. You just need to dry off really good and take a blow dryer to dry your hair before you go outside. I would not swim in an outdoor pool in the winter time though that would definately be to cold.

My 8th grade science teacher once told me that wet hair may make you attract the bugs more, but doesn't actually make you sick. We used to jump in the pool in December as a dare to see who can stick it out the longest! I guess I had a strong immune systems becuase it was below 20 degrees and I never got sick!
